An astonishing, totally authentic, discovery from our Archives; a previously unknown eighth ‘O Antiphon’ has been unearthed. It is titled ‘O micron’. We believe it to be an absolutely, 100%, genuine mediaeval text, although the latin seems rather shaky, which may explain why it didn’t make the final cut. Nevertheless we have now recorded it to be performed for the first time in probably 800 years, and we don’t know, it possibly has some relevance for the moment. Here’s the link:

The authentic lost text runs:
Omicron, corona morborum qui ventilat
Effusus super nos quasi phialus irae
luxit et defluxit terra,
Vade! Et transeat nos haec pestis mortis.
Our best translation runs:
Omicron, crown of diseases which winnows,
You are poured out over us like the bowls of wrath.
The earth mourns and withers,
Go! And let this plague of death pass over us.
We offer this prayer with love from all of us at CR, especially for those who are facing a difficult period due to illness and restrictions.
